Our Story
Alison Blue and Susan Miller are friends who share a love of travel and a belief that women shouldn’t have to wait for someone else before seeing the world.
Over the years, we kept hearing the same thing from women: I would love to travel, but I don’t have anyone to go with.
Maybe their spouse or partner doesn’t enjoy traveling. Their friends aren’t available at the same time. Or they simply don’t want to travel alone or join a large, traditional tour group.
We understood. And we knew there had to be another way.
That’s how WanderWise Women was born — thoughtfully planned, small-group journeys for women who are ready to explore the world, whether they come with a friend or arrive not knowing anyone at all.
Meet Alison
Alison has been in the travel industry for more than 30 years and is the founder of Aliz Adventure Tours, a boutique travel company specializing in immersive experiences in Morocco.
Her years of experience have given her a deep appreciation for the people, traditions and everyday moments that make a destination memorable. For Alison, the best journeys aren’t simply about where you go — they’re about experiencing a place in a meaningful way and connecting with the people you meet along the way.
Meet Susan
Susan’s love of travel eventually inspired her to turn a lifelong passion into a second career as a travel advisor.
Today, she specializes in creating thoughtfully planned journeys that combine beautiful accommodations and memorable experiences with culture, exploration and time to simply enjoy being somewhere new.
Women’s travel has become especially meaningful to Susan. She loves watching women who may begin a journey not knowing one another share incredible experiences, laugh together, try new things and often return home with wonderful new friendships.
Why WanderWise Women?
We created WanderWise Women for women who are curious, adventurous and ready to explore — but don’t necessarily have the right person to travel with.
Our groups are intentionally small, and our journeys are designed to give you more than a checklist of sights. We want you to experience a destination — its culture, food, people and landscapes — with a balance of adventure, exploration and time to relax and enjoy where you are.
Some women join us with a friend. Many come on their own.
Either way, you’re not just another person on a tour. You’re part of a group of women sharing the experience together.

Morocco | March 14–25, 2027
Journey from Casablanca through Rabat, Fez and the Atlas Mountains, ride camels at sunset in the Sahara Desert, and experience the colors, flavors, culture and magic of Marrakech.
Magic of Colombia | June 9–16, 2027
Cruise Colombia’s legendary Magdalena River with AmaWaterways, discovering colorful villages, vibrant culture, local music and authentic Colombian experiences along the way, with optional extensions in Medellín and Panama.
Iceland | September 5–11, 2027
Explore a land of glaciers, waterfalls, dramatic coastlines, black-sand beaches and geothermal wonders. Venture inside a glacier, cruise among floating icebergs, experience Icelandic culture and cuisine, and, with a little luck, catch the Northern Lights dancing across the sky.
Each journey is different, but they all share what we love most about travel: beautiful accommodations, incredible experiences, time to explore and the opportunity to share it all with a wonderful group of women.
